| We are pleased to announce that our first annual semi-knockdown tournament held on September 20, 2008 was a great success. Many competitors from across the United States and Canada took part in the events and we look forward to seeing everyone again at our next tournament in 2009. |

| Sensei Nathan Ligo from Budo Karate House in North Carolina visited Shihan Fujiwara's dojo on July 19 and 20, 2008, and held a clinic for all black belts which focused on kata and the meanings behind the various techniques in the katas. All of us who participated in the clinic were very impressed with what we learned and want to extend our thanks to Sensei Ligo for coming to Connecticut to share his knowledge with us. |
